Nambassa 1979

One of my most enduring childhood memories is the Nambassa festival in 1979.

Edwina January 4, 2009 at 9:22 pm: I remember the Nambassa, it was so cool, I was 14 at the time. It was a really friendly atmosphere, I would walk aound all day and sit anywhere and no-one ever told u to piss off!!! They\’d ask if you\’d had something to eat or drink or whatever. The Hare Krishna\’s had a big tent and they fed heaps of people, the price, sit through one of their lectures, but no-one minded:) Kids got alot of free stuff, like ice-creams, corn on the cob, bar-b-que everything, it was one of the best festivals I had been to:):) Mind u I was only 14:)
