Just picked this up over at Grist. An international poll covering 17 countries and representing more than 55 percent of the world population, has found worldwide agreement that climate change is a threat. Opinions are split on what do do but nevertheless the climate is right for strong political action. In 9 of 10 nations surveyed, respondents agreed action should be taken to combat global warming.
This is all very encouraging but, and perhaps this shouldn’t be a surprise, the United States - the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases - shows themselves most in need of an attitude adjustment:
